The New British Union
This group seems to be currently emerging across the North, and is the New British Union (NBU). They are not a proscribed organisation, however, they have chosen to glorify the historic fascist leader Oswald Mosley. The group have been sighted meeting in the region of Cumbria, with attendees wearing black shirts echoing back to the original British Union.
Below you can view the media report of this group, for awareness of this emerging group their logo and any potential stickering around campuses.

International plastic bag free day
This is a particularly important day for us here at Azesta, as a certified B Corp we look to eliminate waste and promote more eco-friendly processes wherever we can. As it is 'international plastic bag free day' we would like to ask that if you head to the shop this week try to either re-use a bag that you already have or buy a bag for life as this helps to reduce the amount of plastic that you are generating. This can help in a myriad of different ways:
- it reduces harm to marine life
- prevents landfill build up
- reduces the permeation of dangerous micro-plastics in the environment.

National Independent Retailer Month
July
Big Box stores like Greggs and ASDA are certainly convenient, offering so many of the things we all need in one space and the prices they offer aren't easy to beat. However, there are sections of our local commerce that brings us a unique experience, and makes sure that our purchases really support the local community.
Independents are our neighbours, family and friends whether they’re running the corner shop, providing fuel to keep us on the move, or even a local sandwich shop who make us the best in handcrafted and tasty lunches. 'National Independent Retailer Month' reminds us that supporting them directly supports our community.
This idea truly embraces the B Corp way of thinking so we would like to encourage you all to take a little de-tour on either your commute or your adventures at the weekend; nip into a local shop to discover something new and exiting this July.

Also! Picnics are not just a fun way to spend time with friends and family, but they are also incredibly beneficial for your health. Firstly, picnics provide an experiential way of enjoying a meal outdoors. Instead of eating in a rushed manner, picnics allow you to slow down, savour the food, and appreciate the beauty of nature around you. This mindful eating can lead to better digestion and ultimately a healthier digestive system. Additionally, picnics often involve packing healthy food options such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. By choosing nutritious meals, you are fuelling your body with the necessary nutrients for optimal health. Lastly, spending time outdoors in nature has been proven to have a positive impact on mental health. The fresh air, green surroundings, and sunshine all contribute to reducing stress and improving mood. So next time you have the opportunity, grab a picnic basket and enjoy the many health benefits that come along with it! Even the University of Calgary have found evidence to support picnics.
