24•06•19 Welcome to the latest Short Term Rentalz weekly newsletter!
• ShortTermRentalz is media partner for this October's inaugural HOST 2019 event, which is set to bring everyone in the rental space together as a way of drawing fresh faces in to invest in the sector.
In an exclusive interview with ShortTermRentalz, Terrapinn event director for HOST, Oliver Hannaford, revealed the company had identified verticals to cover at the event to ensure that every attendee benefits from the professional insightful content on offer. Overarching themes include Tech and Innovation, Regulation, Business Partnerships and more.
With the short-term rental industry set to reach $170 billion in value next year, Terrapinn has brought in over 130 speakers, featuring leading international brands like Marriott International and Sonder, to analyse how large hotel groups are reacting to the rental industry and detail how the blurring of the hospitality segments will continue in Europe and the rest of the world.
Providing a platform for professionals whose interests span the whole industry allows attendees to not only learn lessons from those who have already created successful solutions for their businesses but also educate themselves so they can bring innovations to their own company and better serve the needs of their guests.
Myself and the ShortTermRentalz team will be at HOST 2019 which takes place at the Business Design Centre in London from 31 October to 1 November - see you there!
In other news, Four Seasons' revelation that it is growing its portfolio of rental properties follows on from Marriott and Airbnb verging increasingly towards the luxury home rental space.
The group's CEO Paul White told Luxury Daily it was expanding its Private Retreats rental portfolio to 1,000 villas and residences worldwide to strengthen its position as a leading competitor in the space.
In the grander scheme of things, it shows the hospitality group wants to diversify into targeting families, couples and friend groups to offer tailored travel experiences in order to evolve with the ever-changing alternative accommodation landscape.
