• Jannes Soerensen, the GM of London boutique hotel The Beaumont, shared some fascinating insights on teamwork and leadership when he spoke with BHN recently.
Encouraging and nurturing a team is one of the key roles of a GM, according to Soerensen, who stressed that by its very nature the job is that of a generalist who should therefore encourage the specialists in their respective fields to use their initiative and shine. This way of thinking chimes well with 25hours which has just launched its 25hours People recruitment scheme. The initiative was created after sourcing the opinions of over 1,000 of its employees and tracking recommendations they would make for the company to others.
