• On Wednesday 11 March, ShortTermRentalz run by International Hospitality Media hosted the first-ever awards ceremony for the global short-term rental industry aboard Bateaux London.
More than 150 people packed the boat for an incredible evening of drinks, canapés and entertainment provided by Music Concierge as we cruised down the River Thames and celebrated all of achievements and innovation within the short-term rental industry worldwide. In total, 13 awards were handed out across all of the shortlists.

It was a particularly successful week for Lavanda, who scooped the award for Best property management solution at the Shortyz before picking up the accolade of Best short-term rental platform / operator at the 2020 Serviced Apartment Awards the following night at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel. Congratulations to all of the winners!
In the current climate of concern and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, on behalf of the IHM team, I'd like to personally thank everyone who showed their support for the Shortyz, whether you were headline sponsors [HomeAway], sponsors [AirDNA, NoiseAware, Pikl and GUARDHOG] or simply attended on the night. While difficult times may well lie ahead, the resilience and community spirit to come together and celebrate should be a great source of pride for us all.
There are plenty of people in the short-term rental industry with the courage and determination to make the best of every situation. That sense of unity will be more vital than ever in the weeks and months ahead.
