• A big thank you to all those who took the time out during these extraordinarily difficult times to participate in our operator survey.
The aim of the survey was to see how the industry is coping with the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on business, as well as asking industry figures for any ideas, tips or strategies which are helping them in the current situation.
The results - while obviously revealing that the sector is suffering, were actually more positive than I was expecting and brought home to me how much better equipped the serviced apartment sector is to weather the storm when compared with hotels.

Another thing the survey has brought home is that the industry's future, post-pandemic, is very unlikely to look the same as it did a couple of months ago. How it will look is uncertain but it is encouragingly clear from the survey responses that our sector is already giving serious thought to the future shape of the industry.
