• When we spoke late last week, edyn Group CEO Stephen McCall said the pandemic has been “frightening and fascinating in equal measure”.
One of the fascinating aspects for him was the performance of the SACO serviced apartment portfolio, which has far exceeded the company’s expectations.
By his own admission, McCall has been focused on the roll out of the Locke brand, with SACO very much on a “maintain and sustain” footing.
But this has changed significantly in recent months, with a drive to focus on growing SACO in parallel with Locke, driven by new managing director Steven Haag, definitely on the cards.
McCall kept his cards relatively close to his chest on this subject during our chat, but it will be fascinating to see what the post-pandemic incarnation of one of the oldest names in the serviced apartment sector looks like.
