• The news that at least 60,000 jobs in Scotland's hospitality and tourism sector could be at risk should a second lockdown occur is sobering. Although the possibility of this happening is a black cloud hanging over the sector, I'm constantly reassured by the strong and positive attitudes of hospitality professionals. It speaks volumes of the confidence and determination of those working within the industry to not shy away from challenging and difficult situations.
Speaking of tenacious energy, six hoteliers have been awarded Master Innholders status this week. The successful candidates will now take part in the organisation’s efforts to inspire and encourage the next generation of hotel professionals. When times are tough as these, it certainly helps to have bright leaders at the helm.
