71-key Quest aparthotel set for Sydney suburb FEATURES VIDEOS/PODCASTS EDITOR'S COMMENT
• It was fantastic to see industry friends and colleagues old and new at our first face-to-face event since March when we hosted a business breakfast at the new Bermonds Locke property in London earlier this week.
Despite the uncertainty around the pandemic and a barrage of fear-inducing media coverage, it did feel as if things were getting busier in London. The immediate area around London Bridge was actually quite buzzy - a far cry from the situation for most of the summer.
Thanks to everyone who attended, to AHV Associates for sponsoring and to Bermonds Locke for hosting us - it was a real boost to the spirits for me, and I suspect for many of those who attended.
• It was an interesting challenge for the IHM editorial team to come up with list of 50 urban innovators who have all, in their own way, helped to change the way we live, work and stay
Those we selected come from across many disciplines, including architecture, development, finance, operations, masterplanning and more. Some are practically household names, others you may not have heard of, but they are all linked by their passion for the built environment.
In the run up to the Urban Living Festival, which is taking place at Tobacco Dock in London on November 25 and 26, we'll be releasing the list in weekly instalments of 10 innovators. We hope you enjoy the series.
• The next Urban Living webinar takes place on September 16th, at 14:00 BST, when we will be discussing Branded Residences and Mixed-Use Developments.
Joining me for the session, which is sponsored by CommScope, will be:
Future topics include: • Wednesday September 30th, 2PM BST: New real estate models and proptech investors SPONSORED BY RMS CLOUD • Wednesday October 7th 2PM BST: Investment: How to partially pandemic-proof your portfolio
