• One company broadening out its offerings during this pandemic is Scandinavian Hospitality, which has launched its own luxury rental concept, combining luxury holiday rental villas with five-star hotel service.
The luxury segment saw something of a resurgence over the summer. As affluent travellers seek their own off-the-grid spaces with high-end amenities to stay in for flexible periods of time, this pent-up demand is likely to remain in 2021 due to the seclusion and privacy of such properties, the appetite for domestic travel during the upcoming winter season and their enhanced safety protocols, particularly if Covid-19 cases rise again.
