EDITOR'S COMMENT
• There are now just two days to go until our Urban Living Festival kicks off in London and time is running out fast for you to book your last-minute tickets for IHM's innovative flagship event.
The two-day event begins with a curated, behind-the-scenes tour around some of the best hospitality and real estate properties in the capital, starting with Vertus Living in Canary Wharf, before moving onto Cove - Landmark Pinnacle and Level 39 co-living business centre.
On day two, hear from innovators and investors at the cutting edge of contemporary hospitality, real estate and living, as we define the future of how and where people will stay, live and work. One unmissable highlight is a session on "How flexible living is shaping the future of urban accommodation" [09:45 - 10:30], featuring Amanda Cupples, general manager for the UK and Northern Europe at Airbnb, and Lavanda CEO Fred Lerche-Lerchenborg.
Purchase your ULF tickets here. Check out the full ULF schedule at this link.
Stay tuned for plenty more ULF content in the coming weeks!
• No doubt Cupples will have plenty to discuss following a week in which her company has announced a permanent ban on parties in its listings worldwide and the UK Government has launched its long-awaited review of short-term accommodation in England.
The 12-week consultation has opened amid calls for tighter regulation of the industry to address the rise of listings in the country and many cities around the world are imposing their own measures to combat perceived over-tourism. Hosts, property managers, local authorities and more can submit their views at the Gov.uk website here.
