IHM A-Z: What's next in travel,

hospitality and real estate in 2024?

Worldwide: IHM’s editorial team [George Sell, editor-in-chief; Paul Stevens, editor – short-term rentals; and Eloise Hanson, editor – hospitality] provide a glimpse into what to expect for the travel, hospitality and real estate sectors in 2024 in our annual A-Z article.

EDITOR'S COMMENT

• We're a month into 2024 now and this year is already shaping up to be transformative and impactful for travel, hospitality and real estate - and there are wider economic, political and technological implications that we have explored in our annual A-Z article previewing the biggest trends in the year ahead.

From the Olympics to general elections, Saudi Arabia and Generative AI, this year's list of 26 names, trends and companies is probably our most diverse and impressive in scope yet. And I suppose we should also thank Elon Musk, who made our task finding a subject for X that much easier this year!

One of the unique aspects of the A-Z is our coverage of the entire travel, hospitality and real estate spectrum, which is especially important as the sectors continue to converge. Keep an eye out for growth in the global hostel market, modular construction projects taking off to deal with inconsistent supply chains, and the creation of more mixed-use / vertical hospitality developments that meet the needs of startups, entrepreneurs and professionals alike.

Read our 2024 A-Z here and let us know what you might have included too by emailing me at paul@internationalhospitality.media. Check out our Z-A from 2023 too to see how our predictions fared.
