EDITOR'S COMMENT
• It's only mid-January but the 2025 Shortyz Awards are fast approaching! For the sixth edition, being held on Tuesday 1 April at the Westin City, London, we are bringing in two exciting additions - we are introducing a black-tie format for the first time and two new and distinct award categories are up for grabs for STR industry professionals.
The entry period for the 2025 Shortyz Awards is already open and underway - featuring our new Guest experience award and Best interior design award. You have until Monday 10 February [23:59 GMT] to submit your entries in any of our 20 categories for free at this link, and you can follow this page with all of the category information, eligibility and criteria.
Since our inaugural awards in 2020, companies of all shapes and sizes from across the world have claimed accolades at the Shortyz, from those based in Australia to the United States, Canada, Europe and even Peru. Completing your Shortyz 2025 submissions would be a perfect way to kickstart the year and fulfil one of your New Year's resolutions!
If you're not quite sure what to include in your submissions, we've compiled this article here with lots of useful tips and pointers about what our expert judging panel will be searching for once the judging period commences, after the entries deadline has passed next month.
The Shortyz Awards are open to all global short-term / vacation rental professionals, from property managers and hosts to software businesses, suppliers, booking platforms, camping / glamping companies and much more.
• If you're attending this week's IMN Short Term Rental Winter Forum [15-16 Jan], make sure to connect with my colleague and our head of growth for STRz, Sam Cooper, who will be present in Miami to discuss collaborative opportunities [Shortyz Awards, podcasts, webinars and more]. Visit this
link to get your tickets too and meet with Sam in person.
